about us

We’re an independently run market since 2017. Community is at the centre of what we do - we showcase local businesses and small artisan traders who offer an array of handmade and sustainable products, but also a wide range of delicious street food vendors.

After the success of 2021’s Spring/Summer Series with Black Owned Hackney, Hackney Vegan Village and Wasted Chic Fashion Market, we are now getting ready for 2022! Our ethos for this new season is based around being always more sustainable, by encouraging people to consume less and better, reuse, upcycle and recycle more. Expect talks, workshops, food, music and vibes!

our commitment to SUSTAINABILITY

As a business, it is important for us be mindful of our environmental impact and try to reduce our footprint to the maximum, as well as promoting responsible living and better consumption systems. We will continue to showcase local businesses, handmade and sustainable products, and will be hosting talks and workshops encouraging people to DIY and upcycle more.

This year are proud to announce that we will be putting in place a brand new recycling system on Bohemia Place including food waste collections, and we are working with our traders towards being a zero waste market. Our waste will now be collected by First Mile, a waste management company responsible for collecting and disposing of all rubbish in a professional, secure, and environmentally-friendly manner. The food waste and general waste from the market will now be used to make renewable energy, the recycling will be recycled, and no waste will end up in landfill.
