Welcome to the heart of Hackney, somewhere to be social. We’re a live entertainment venue but with a heavy sprinkle of the really good stuff. Connected to Bohemia Place Market, The Hackney Social is the spot where art and music meet. We’re all about celebrating culture and community; supporting local grassroots music and artists, but also offering a space of discussion and skill share.
Designed using only recycled and reclaimed materials, the venue also comes equipped with a high spec sound system and a massive HD cinema screen. Whether it is exhibitions, screenings, comedy or club nights, come and discover what the local scene has to offer.

our commitment to SUSTAINABILITY
As a business, it is important for us be mindful of our environmental impact and try to reduce our footprint to the maximum, as well as promoting responsible living and better consumption systems. We will continue to showcase local businesses, handmade and sustainable products, and will be hosting talks and workshops encouraging people to DIY and upcycle more.
This year are proud to announce that we will be putting in place a brand new recycling system on Bohemia Place including food waste collections, and we are working with our traders towards being a zero waste market and venue. Our waste will now be collected by First Mile, a waste management company responsible for collecting and disposing of all rubbish in a professional, secure, and environmentally-friendly manner. All of our food waste and general waste will now be used to make renewable energy, the recycling will be recycled, and no waste will end up in landfill.
