Rohan the producer 

Rohan the producer, an East London-based DJ and producer with Caribbean roots, blends soulful beats influenced by his diverse upbringing. From playing bass guitar in 'In Search Of' to crafting eclectic live sets merging House, Funk, Reggae, and more, his music exudes spontaneity and energy. His debut EP 'Fake' (2019) earned critical acclaim, supported by industry heavyweights like Carl Craig, Marco Carola, and Richie Hawtin.


riversofsound 

riversofsound (or RØS for short) is an East London based multi-disciplinary artist, music producer and originator of the Young Artists Realising Dreams collective. 
Notorious amongst his peers for an ability to adopt many music genres into his repertoire; often dissecting and blending them to create something new.

His sets boast an encyclopaedic knowledge of records that parallel his production style, keeping you pleasantly perplexed as you’re taken on a sonic journey where diverse musical paths are woven together to create one cohesive groove.

milli 

milli plays with time, sound and space to create distinct and unique sets for the listener. Blending the sounds of the global south with underground electronic dance music, millin creates exciting and unforgettable live experiences for the audience, not 2 sets are ever the same. As YARD Records and Mehmooni London co-founder milli has found recent success with appearance on Refuge worldwide and his night 'Persian Love' across the UK and Europe.

Bailie LDN x Untamed Frequencies

Baile LDN and Untamed Frequencies are teaming up to bring the best of the Lagos and London club scenes together for a genre-defying night of percussive and soulful club sounds. Sensei Lo's Untamed Frequencies started as a radio show fusing together the vibrant rhythms and melodies of Africa with cutting-edge electronic sounds from across the globe, before transcending into one of the hottest underground music gatherings around - throwing parties in Lagos, Accra, and now London.

Baile LDN was founded in 2019 by Mango Park and Emily Dust to explore the connections between baile funk, UK funky, kuduro, gqom, amapiano, afrohouse and other percussive club sounds. Since then we’ve brought through international headliners like Badsista, Toya Delazy, DJ Karaba, Leo Justi, Freak De L’Afrique, Marginal Men & SD9, Bianca Oblivion and Peroli, as well as London talent like Roska, Arthi, K2RAH, Tribal Brothers, Love In The Endz and Kensaye.

Band Bio:

Originally formed during medical school, GULZ was created as a means to throw loose afterparties and impress the opposite sex (unsuccessfully). Since then, the four piece have gone on to become the first indie band of junior doctors (+ allies) to sellout the Camden Assembly, release an EP on Fierce Panda, and even bag themself a frontpage spread on BBC NEWS...

Not long after songwriter/producer/ then-medical student- Gulz Dhanoya started crafting and releasing tunes from his bedroom in Newcastle, did BBC introducing, local radio and media take interest. Gig offers were coming left, right and centre, so Gulz drafted in his closest allies  (Charles Harris, Eliza Lassman, and Sam Stonor) to join the live band. Soon after, shows started to sell out, ridiculous merch tees flew off shelves, and there was ‘hype’ (?!) around the group. Thereafter, the anatomy books closed, the stethoscopes got dropped, and the only rhythm the boys focused on were the ones they created in Camden’s Pirate Studios and LeMob Studios (formally, Lyncnmob; Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Mark Ronson). Show after show, song after song, the boys got stronger - and so did their loyal fan base. Headline shows at the Camden Assembly, the Old Blue Last, The O2 Academy Islington, Ronnie Scott’s and more. All Sold Out. A debut EP, released on Fierce Panda Records (Coldplay, Keane, Macabees). Dodgy management contracts and other music industry oddballs have come knocking; the gang are ready to soar, but how is the question.

This is your band, your friends and your songs.

Expect chaos, laughter, major chords, plastic pint cups, and guitar-occupied boogieing .

We've got Doc Scott joining us on the night. A true pioneer of Drum & Bass; this veteran tastemaker has been shaping the scene since its inception, with legendary sets that have left an indelible mark on D&B history.

They are joined by Grey Code. In a relatively short space of time, he has gone on to establish himself as one of Drum & Bass’ brightest prospects.
Known for his dynamic DJ sets and innovative productions, Grey Code is a force to be reckoned with in the Drum & Bass community.

LINE UP:

🔥 Dre Six is an emerging singer songwriter from east London using R&B/folk style guitar instrumentals. His soft & beautiful vocals with catchy melodies is what you might hear on rap or drill songs thus creating the perfect juxtaposition for him which works so well. In 2023 he was invited to perform for the prestigious Colors platform.

🔥 Tia Gordon is a singer-songwriter from Kent in 2022 she released her first single & has received support from tastemakers like Global Soul, Abbie McCarthy, DJ Target, Victoria Jane etc. In 2023 she reached No 1 in the Global Soul Chart & subsequently performed at her first Global Soul Showcase. In 2024 her first single also featured in the Global Soul top 20 so we are delighted to have her back.

🔥 Stacy NKR is a rapper from South East London she made waves with her first single SE17 in 2022 & since then has been building a following of people interested in the story she has to tell. She works with non-profit label and studio ROOT 73, honing her craft & developing her sound, taking influence from hip-hop, neo-soul, grime and jazz.

🔥 Jessy Blakemore is an emerging talent gaining recognition as a versatile & captivating artist. With Zimbabwean & British parents, her style has been playfully dubbed as "hood folk”. Now signed to influential Sony imprint Black Butter & managed by Don’t Sleep. She is gearing up to release her debut in Spring 2024. Beirut Groove Collective

Now entering its 14th year, the Beirut Groove Collective is a collective of vinyl DJs, crate diggers, music obsessives and artists. For over a decade, the BGC has thrown one of the SWANA region’s most popular underground clubnights in Beirut, the BGC All-Nighter, which has built an international reputation for its distinctive sound and attracted some of the world's leading DJs, turntabalists, crate diggers and record collectors. At their parties, the BGC plays obscure and underground clubbing records from the ‘60s-‘80s from the Middle East, Africa and around the world, an eclectic mix of Lebanese ‘60s Garage and Beat, Bellydance Psych, Arabic Disco, Latin Tarab, Armenian estradayin, Ethiopian and Sudanese Jazz, Rare Soul and Funk, Psychedelia and much more.

The New York Times included the BGC clubnights in their list of the "Top 15" parties around the world, and they've been featured everywhere from The Guardian and Monocle Magazine to ARTE, the BBC, Time Out London and Vice Magazine.

Starting as an underground funk and soul party in the living room of community space Zico House in Beirut, the party soon evolved into its present day strictly-vinyl format, expanding musically to showcase some of the pioneering records and diverse music scenes that came out of Beirut – a cosmopolitan hub for music – and the wider region in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Over the years, the collective has helped shape Lebanon’s alternative clubbing culture, throwing regular parties in basement clubs, abandoned beachside villas and warehouse spaces in the forgotten fringes of Beirut. Six years ago, the BGC evolved into a weekly clubnight in Beirut and in 2021, the collective brought their clubnights to London with monthly residencies in grassroots venues across the city, as well as guest appearances at festivals, clubs and community spaces around the world.

The Josh Barry Experience

On the 6th June 2024, we welcome “The Josh Barry Experience” to the heart of the East London music scene; back to Hackney, where the experience began.

Known for his poetic lyrics and vintage approach to Soul music, JB will be transforming the space to lay the foundations towards his upcoming album “Pride & Purpose”, taking the stage with a 5 piece band to officially launch “The Josh Barry Experience” as his ongoing artist project.

Seamlessly blending soul, rock, funk, disco and folk, JB transcends the confines of traditional genres and delivers a rich tapestry made of raw emotional vocals and heart wrenching, honest words. Sparing no experience, the MOBO Unsung finalist has been performing across the UK, supporting the likes of Rag ’n’ Bone Man, Cory Henry, Lizz Wright, performing at London Jazz Festival, Glastonbury, The House Of Koko & Ronnie Scott’s to name a few. But by his own admission, he loves nothing more than his own nights with his own fans… so prepare for a journey; with a set crafted to take you places, and sounds made to keep you there.

With an exclusive premiere screening of the new music video for JB’s single “Wounds” and special guest performances throughout the night, this is going to be one for the history books. Just make sure you can say you were there…

British-Zambian artist Essii burst onto the scene in 2020 and has swiftly carved out a niche for herself within the UK R&B genre. Her breakthrough singles, ‘Pourin’ and ‘Positions,’ laid the groundwork for her burgeoning career and led to a notable collaboration with pop sensation Coi Leray on the 2021 hit single ‘Brown Eyes.’ Essii's lyrical prowess is deeply rooted in her personal experiences with relationships and heartbreak, offering a candid glimpse into the complexities of young love. Her music is celebrated for its raw honesty, seamlessly blended with a sleek and soulfully feminine touch that resonates with listeners.

Novine was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany by a Jamaican mother and German father and is now residing in Berlin. Novine has taken a very intimate and refreshing approach to R&B and Neo-Soul. The artist allows her diverse backgrounds and inspirations to influence her, making her music burst with colourful melodies and charisma. Songs with dreamy neo-soul vibes and soaring vocals invite listeners into a fascinatingly dreamy and soulful atmosphere.

Hailing from the vibrant heart of the UK’s neo-soul scene, LYZE emerges as a distinctive voice in contemporary music, crafting melodies that resonate with the soul’s deepest narratives. Growing up immersed in the rich tones of jazz and soul, LYZE’s music is an artful blend of soulful vocals, dreamy harmonies, and mellow spoken word, creating a sound that feels like a journal entry set to melody.

 

An alternative RnB/Soul artist Lauren Mikki combines ethereal soundscapes with raw emotion in her music. Beirut Groove Collective

Now entering its 14th year, the Beirut Groove Collective is a collective of vinyl DJs, crate diggers, music obsessives and artists. For over a decade, the BGC has thrown one of the SWANA region’s most popular underground clubnights in Beirut, the BGC All-Nighter, which has built an international reputation for its distinctive sound and attracted some of the world's leading DJs, turntabalists, crate diggers and record collectors. At their parties, the BGC plays obscure and underground clubbing records from the ‘60s-‘80s from the Middle East, Africa and around the world, an eclectic mix of Lebanese ‘60s Garage and Beat, Bellydance Psych, Arabic Disco, Latin Tarab, Armenian estradayin, Ethiopian and Sudanese Jazz, Rare Soul and Funk, Psychedelia and much more.

The New York Times included the BGC clubnights in their list of the "Top 15" parties around the world, and they've been featured everywhere from The Guardian and Monocle Magazine to ARTE, the BBC, Time Out London and Vice Magazine.

Starting as an underground funk and soul party in the living room of community space Zico House in Beirut, the party soon evolved into its present day strictly-vinyl format, expanding musically to showcase some of the pioneering records and diverse music scenes that came out of Beirut – a cosmopolitan hub for music – and the wider region in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Over the years, the collective has helped shape Lebanon’s alternative clubbing culture, throwing regular parties in basement clubs, abandoned beachside villas and warehouse spaces in the forgotten fringes of Beirut. Six years ago, the BGC evolved into a weekly clubnight in Beirut and in 2021, the collective brought their clubnights to London with monthly residencies in grassroots venues across the city, as well as guest appearances at festivals, clubs and community spaces around the world.

With shows on Balamii and RinseFM covering a wide range of genres and styles we can't wait to hear what Felix brings to the table.

Mark Force

Mark is a member of Bugz in the Attic, the legendary broken beat group from West London, and one of the founders of legendary London club night, CoOp. From starting out in the early 90's as a drum and bass/jungle DJ and producer, under the name G Force, to collaborating with other broken beat legends Kaidi Tatham and Seiji, Mark has been there and done it. We're excited to see the influence of Mark's 30+ years within London/UK club culture when he graces the decks on 22nd March.
