Love Hub Cinema Club – Man On Wire

Feed.jpg

Using actual footage from the event seamlessly mingled with new re-enactments, filmmaker James Marsh masterfully recreates high-wire daredevil Philippe Petit's 1974 stunt: performing acrobatics on a thin wire strung between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. Plotting his feat like a master cat burglar, Petit enlists the help of a motley group of friends as he calculates every detail, from acquiring building access to stringing up the wire, and manages to pull off an astounding crime.

Choose Love and join us at Hackney Social for a screening of Man on the Wire in support of Help Refugees.

Let's get together to celebrate the return to 'normality' with a gripping must-see documentary. Expect food, drinks, and games on the night. There will be Choose Love merch available to buy and 100% of the donations will go to directly to the charity.

A message from Help Refugees:

See you there ♥️

THEMATRIX

The matrix is one of the most defining films of the early 2000’s and tackles the classic “are we living in a simulation” question. You don’t need to have even seen it to know it’s pioneering "bullet-time" action sequences inspired by Asian martial arts. If you want to deep-dive into your brain, this is a classic.
